Here I'm going to acquainting an android or IOS app giving free talktime or airtime or minutes or credits for calling international or national(STD/ISD) or local or even Landline Calls. Whatscall is from cheetah mobiles the developer of the popular apps Clean master, CM security, CM browser etc... Security Features

Whatscall equally gives importance to the security and privacy of our Account. We can ensure it by going to the settings in the app

Select Me option >> Click on Settings  & click on below mentioned options and check whether it is active or not

While checking below options you can find a slide button next to it. Click it to activate it (button changes to blue) and clicking again you can deactivate that option

Caller ID 

By activating this feature helps you to identify the details of the recipient/caller when you are dialing/answering an unknown number

Account Security

Here you can find your linked email address, mobile number and the option to re-edit the password. By linking your mobile number and email helps to retrieve your password 

Privacy and Block list

Allow others to search for you via your phone number:-. Activate it if you would like others search and find you by using your phone number within the app and if you won't then deactivate it.

Blocklist:- Here you can block the numbers calling you by adding them from your contacts or recent calls list

Steps to Register with the app

You must have an active mobile number while signing up with what's call for the OTP (One-Time-Password) verification.

• Download and open the app from playstore (15.76 MB) or App store (IOS - 62.9 MB)
• Select your country 

(It will auto-select, if it's wrong then click it to choose your country from the list)

• Now enter your mobile number and tap on Sign-up/Log-in button
• Then verify it with OTP 

(OTP will get auto-verifed if you put the same SIM otherwise enter it manually)

• Set up your password and click on Done button
• After that enter your name or you can click on FB/Google + to log-in to import your name and press on Get Started button

You will get 1000 credits as Sign-up reward

• Click on Get More Credits to enter into the app
• That’s all you successfully registered with the app

With the sign-up reward of 1000 you can start to make call to any country that they listed (supported over 230 countries) or anywhere accross India. 

Before making call

• It's recommend to use 3G/4G/Wifi to get a better calling experience

Must have an Active Internet connection

You must have a question in mind that Does this app need any internet connection to make the call? and the answer is Yes, but wait only one of the user needs the internet connection

ie. the person who makes the call must have an active 2G/3G/4G/Wifi internet connection to make the call and the recipient who receives the call doesn't need any internet connection to attend the call. 

Always check Call credits

Make sure that there is enough airtime credits in your account to make the call. (Free credits earnings ways are also discussed below)

Must enter the Country Code

Whether it is a local or national or international call you must enter the  dial code.

Check their Call Supported Country list

Whatscall supported over 230 countries to make free calls. But better to check it before making a call

You can check it by clicking on country name in the top left side of the dial pad and from the coming page enter the name of the country and if you can find the entered name from the list then you can make calls to that country

Check call Rates

Call Rates are charged on credits/min.  For calling across India you will charge 140 credits/min and these free credits consumption of your call will vary based on the destination's call rate. So, it is better to check before make a call

To check call rate:- Select Me option from below of the app home >> Tap on Check Call Rates >> Enter your County/Region/Area code and click search button or you can know by scrolling down the list

Steps to Make National or International or Local or Landline Calls

After sign-up, app will welcome you with the dial pad screen and if it's not then tap on Dialpad option from below of the app to show it and you can again click on it to hide it. Then you can make call as usual. Okay, here we go

You can make international/national (STD/ISD)/Landline calls anytime anywhere you like

• Click on Dial pad option from below of the app
• Then simply type or input the mobile number using Dialpad and press phone button
• From the pop-up below click Free call button to make the call
• That's all. 

You can also select the number from your phone contacts by clicking on the search icon on the top

Calling online Whatscall user is credit free. ie. No credit will be consume while calling if your friend is online in Whatscall app.

Some Calling situations

Here also I'm giving some situations in which how you can make a call from whatscall app.

Situation 1 - Making calls within your country

Initially based on your sign up location the app will auto-detect your dial code and you need to enter only the rest of the mobile number to make calls

Situation 2 - Don't know the country code

If you want to make calls to other foreign countries and not sure about their dial code or country code then click on the top left side of Dialpad screen where it showing your country name & flag and enter the name of the country & tap on the name from the list that where you want to make the call and corresponding code will be added.

Then simply dial the rest of the mobile number on the dial pad and make the call. That's all. 

Situation 3 - Have Number with County code

Then don't worry, simply type your mobile number with the dial code and the app will auto-detect the country if it is in their call supported list and there is no need to manually select it like from the situation 2 

Additional Feature

We can use the Whatscall to send text, voice messages and photos. For that Select Contacts from below of the app >> Tap on Chat option >> Search for the name or press plus icon from top right side and add it >> Then you can start chat with your friends who have a whatscall account.

For the chat option to work the recipient must be a Whatscall user. So, before sending messages make sure they are also a Whatscall user if not then invite them to use the app.

Steps to get More points

Like I said earlier your what's call account will be credited with free 1000 calling credits which is enough to start make call across India. If you want to call foreign countries then you have to earn more credits by doing some simple tasks. Let's take a look what are they

Referring friends (1000 points)

The most and faster way to earn tons of credits is referring friends to install the Whatscall app. You will get 1000 credits when your friend's install and sign up to the app with your referral link. There is no limit in that ie. You can earn unlimited credits by referring friends
